of its First C2 Showcase Store Colori Puts a New Spin on the Traditional Paint Store August 14, 2006 (East Amherst, NY) - Colori, a new paint and decorating retailer located in Chicago, Illinois, celebrated its grand opening earlier this month. Colori carries only one line of paint - C2 Collections of Color, making it the first C2 showcase store for The Coatings Alliance. Colori's concept is to carry only premium interior and exterior paint products and offer unprecedented customer service while adding an element of fun to the paint shopping experience. The 1,900 square foot store is located at 2243 W. North Avenue, in Bucktown. Michelle Herzog, founder of Colori, believes shopping for paint should be an enjoyable experience for the entire family. She has incorporated a paint bar where customers can sip coffee or lemonade while they wait for their orders. Since lighting is important when selecting a paint color, the store has a light box with three types of light - halogen, incandescent and fluorescent. Customers can work at the light box or nearby worktable when choosing paint colors to match their fabrics. There is a children's area complete with coloring books, DVDs and juice boxes that will keep the kids entertained while the adults are working with the color tools. And, even the four-legged family members are welcome at Colori, and will be offered treats from the dog biscuit jar. In addition to selling C2 paints and Corona paint sundries, Colori also assists clients with custom window treatment services. Colori is a licensed retailer of Hunter Douglas and Graber brand blinds and shutters, as well as ADO fabrics and Rockwood Hardware. The staff includes several artists who can help customers with in-store color consultations. Colori also has a long list of resources and can offer referrals to customers in need of painters, faux finishers, interior designers and more. "I heard about C2 from a designer friend," says Herzog. "I decided to meet with the founding partners of The Coatings Alliance and was instantly impressed with the quality of C2 paints. The entrepreneurial spirit of The Coatings Alliance also was very appealing to me. After that initial meeting, I knew C2 was the right paint for Colori."
